Super Progressive

Super Progressive started as a podcast and grew into a school. William teaches live, in front of his students, and brings in the labels and artists his audience already follows. His students are DJs, producers, promoters and label owners, spread across cities and time zones.

• His audience lived on platforms he did not own. He could see the numbers and never the people, so he had no way to reach them himself.
• He teaches live, and everything on offer wanted a finished library of recorded lessons first.
• His site, his lessons and his events were separate places, so a student had to find their way between them.
• How he sells keeps changing as he learns what his audience wants, and every change meant starting again somewhere new.

We sat in on how William really works, call after call, before anything was built. The picture that came out was one place under his own name where a student signs in once and finds everything, and where William can change his mind without asking anyone.

His site runs on his own web address, superprogressive.club. His courses, his live sessions and his events sit behind one sign-in. An event with a guest label takes registrations on his own site, and the people who register become people he can reach again.

When William decided to change how the whole school is offered, he rewrote his site himself, block by block, in one sitting. He builds and changes his own pages, and we keep a standing rule never to touch them.
